300 HR Yoga Teacher Training

Heart & Soul 300 HR YTT:

The 300 hour program dives even deeper into the history or yoga, philosophy, meditation, anatomy, advanced sequencing, as well as the business of yoga. The training takes place over nine total weekends, beginning on March 5, 2021.


CONCRETE OUTCOMES: A powerful personal practice & deeper understanding of your body. The philosophy of yoga and how to live yoga off your mat. The ability to teach all levels and many different types of yoga to any population. New friends and an amazing supportive community. Alignment, sequencing, and hands-on assisting. Anatomy & Physiology of yoga, as well as the energetics of yoga. Effective communication & presentation skills. This life changing program requires 100% of your commitment. The impact of this training will mirror the commitment you make to show up fully, and to do the work. This training is committed to your growth, and stands for each student as they transform themselves into authentic and powerful people: physically, mentally and spiritually.


***NOTE: IN ADDITION TO COMPLETING ALL WEEKEND MODULES, STUDENTS ARE REQUIRED TO  PRACTICE IN THE STUDIO 1X PER WEEK BETWEEN SESSIONS. READING REQUIREMENTS WILL BE ANNOUNCED.


***MUST HAVE A 200 HR CERTIFICATE PRIOR TO TAKING THIS TRAINING.

Training Modules

March 5-7, 2021

Module 1

Your Past has Prepared You for This Moment

Hours 1-30

The yoga history, philosophy, and meditation module, this unit gives participants the depth and richness of the ancient practice of yoga while making it relevant in our world today. Participants will learn how to incorporate this knowledge into living and teaching through conversation, story telling, and inspiration. Curriculum Includes: Yoga history, philosophy, limbs of yoga, ethics, Pranayama; Breathing Techniques, Yoga Practice, Meditation, Lecture, Discussion, and Practice Teaching.


March 19-21, 2021

Module 2

Your Physical Body Tells the Story of Your Life

Hours 30-90

This module focuses on yoga through the sound principles of anatomy, physiology, and biomechanics in a fun and interactive atmosphere. Participants will gain unique insight into the yoga practice and science. Therefore, participants will obtain an understanding of research driven programming and the impact it has when applied to practicing and teaching yoga. Curriculum Includes: Anatomy Physiology, Biomechanics, Methodology, Yoga Practice, Meditation, Lecture, Discussion, and Practice Teaching.


April 23-25, 2021

Module 3

Yin Yoga, Restorative Yoga, Recovery Yoga, & Prenatal Yoga

Hours 90-120

Training consists of learning to teach a restorative practice with or without props, understanding the restorative asanas & how to create sequences. Yin training teaches how to release fascia, work beyond the muscle, & strengthen connective tissue.  Recovery Yoga students will learn the principles of addiction & how to work with individuals in recovery. Prenatal yoga is taught by our staff  physician and students learn how to modify and use supportive assists to help find ease in their practice.

* Students completing this portion of the course will NOT be certified prenatal teachers, that requires additional training.

May 7-9, 2021

Module 4

Pranayama (advanced breathing techniques) Mediation, & Yoga Nidra

Hours 120-150

In pranayama training , practitioners will learn how to teach pranayama techniques that are designed to work with the nervous system to create homeostasis ( balance) in the body. Students will learn the benefits of pranayama in a personal practice, most common types of pranayama and how to teach them in a public class and the physiological affects of pranayama on the body. Students will also learn a variety of meditation techniques and how to guide students through an effective meditation.


May 28-30, 2021

Module 5

Ayurveda, Chakras, Koshas, Doshas, & Nutrition

Hours 150-180

In this module, students will learn the energy pathways within the body and how they manifest in our physical, intellectual, emotional, and spiritual bodies. Students will have an understanding of the Kosha system, the nadi system and how the energy pathway fit into the fascial system of the body. This training will also deepen the understanding of the Chakra system, touch on nutrition and how to answer common questions regarding nutrition from future practitioners.


June 11-13, 2021

Module 6

Advanced Anatomy/ Adaptive Yoga

Hours 180-210

The advanced anatomy portion of the training will be taught by Dr. Amy Offutt, MD and Brad Offutt, E-RYT, LMT and structural pain therapist. This module will dive into anatomy of asana and advanced asana and will guide students through a deep understanding of the human body. Trail guide to the Human body will be an active tool in this module.


July 9-11, 2021

Module 7

Thai Massage, Restore/ Recover, & Assisting

Hours 210-240

This module will touch on Thai massage, iron yoga, utilizing rollers, & the art of assisting. Brad Offutt, certified in Thai Massage, teaches techniques including freedom from pain, as well as how to utilize the rollers with each type of student. Iron yoga will be taught by a Certified personal trainer & will discuss how to gain muscle mass in yoga class. Art of assisting will teach techniques to assist practitioners safely and how to gently guide them into proper, safe form in their practice.


July 23-25, 2021

Module 8

Advanced Sequencing, Advanced Assisting, & Inversions

Hours 240-270

Module 8 will teach trainee how to create sequences that are designed to sustain stability and space within the body while moving safely with the biomechanics of the body. Students will use their advanced anatomy training to create functional flows to improve strength, range of motion and cardiovascular health. This module will also touch on inversions and how to safely teach them in a yoga class.


August 6-8, 2021

Module 9

Business of Yoga, Teaching Authentically, Final Exam, Graduation

Hours 270-300

In this module the students will learn the basics of the business side of yoga and how to effectively create a business idea with the courage to follow through. The final exam creation will be presented as students teach an original flow, and of course will conclude with a special celebration of the 300 hour teacher training and certification presentation.
